On Monday, May 6, 18 teams (including one headed by Dean Maupin and one by Bob Swint) converged on Lake Bracken Country Club for the 25th Annual Stearman Foundation Golf Outing.
Prior to the 1:00 p.m. shotgun start, participants were greeted by several low, slow and smoky passes by Stu Olmsted in his Stearman, Scott Delawder in his Stearman, Daniel Wolford in the Wolford Family Stearman and “right place, right time” Pete Spear in the Jet Air Stearman. As the golfers arrived at each hole, they were met with an incredible display of “Hole Sponsor” signs from local businesses and individuals and members of the Stearman community.
Following the tournament, a delicious buffet dinner of fried chicken, catfish filets, baked potato, vegetable, and salad was served. Prizes were awarded to the first and second place teams in each of three flights, with additional pin events for both men and women. Door prizes were distributed including a variety of Stearman memorabilia, a Stearman flight, and a 50/50 drawing.
The Stearman Foundation Board of Directors and Golf Outing Committee (Jeanne Conlon, Becky Patterson, Diane Stickle) extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Lake Bracken Country Club, Stu Olmsted, Scott Delawder, Daniel Wolford, Pete Spear, golfers, hole sponsors and volunteers Jean Jacobs, Dennis Jacobs, Rhonda Housenga, LaDonna Green and Pete and Marie Spear. This event could not be possible without your continued support.
We hope you will join us on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Lake Bracken Country Club for the 26th Annual Stearman Foundation Golf Outing.
