The 20th annual Stearman Golf Outing will be held Monday, May 7, 2018, at Galesburg’s Lake Bracken Golf Course.

Proceeds will benefit the National Stearman Foundation, parent organization of the National Stearman Fly-In that’s held in September at Galesburg Municipal Airport. The golf outing is the major community fund-raiser to support the annual Fly-In.

Jeanne Conlon, Becky Patterson and Diane Stickle, all of Galesburg, are chairs of his year’s golf outing committee.

Entry fees are $80 per player, or $320 for a 4-person team, and include greens fees, a golf cart and dinner.

Players may sign up as a team or individually; individuals will be placed on a team, Conlon said. Teams will be flighted, and pro shop credit awarded.

One $10,000 grand prize will be offered for a hole-in-one. Other prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin, longest drive, and longest putt. Several door prizes also will be awarded.

Conlon said the committee would appreciate receiving entries and fees by April 20. All entry fees must be paid in advance.

Hole Sponsorships

Hole sponsorships are available for the 20th annual Stearman Golf Outing on Monday, May 7. Sponsors’ signs will be prominently displayed on the Lake Bracken golf course.

Five companies have promoted their services through hole sponsorships every year since the first golf outing. They are Always Travel, Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Jet Air, Inc., Office Specialists, Inc., and RSM (McGladrey).
