Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some common questions about The National Stearman Fly-In.

How much does it cost?

To simply come out and enjoy the fly-in and see the sites is absolutely FREE!

There are however, many things at the fly-in to do that do cost money… for instance, a guided audio tram tour of the Stearman flight line will cost you $1 per person. There will also be vendors selling food and merchandise, as well as Stearman rides and aerial tours for sale.

What is the best day to come out and see the Stearman?

While every day has something to see and do… we’d say Saturday is the “best”, most event filled day for the public to come out and enjoy the Fly-In.

Be sure to check out the schedule of events HERE.

Can we get something to eat while we're there?

Absolutely! There will be food vendors on site all week serving food from late morning thru the supper hour.

Can we get out on the field with the Stearman?

While unauthorized / non-pilot access to the field is prohibited, there is a guided tram tour of the Stearman flight line all week long!

The tours are available from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, and only cost $1 per person!

Can I take a ride in a Stearman?

Yes! Both Stearman rides, and Stearman aerobatics rides are available.

Please see the bottom of the schedule of events page for details.
