National Stearman Fly-In – Day 5

When the morning fog and haze around Galesburg, IL, Municipal Airport lifted at mid-morning on Friday, Sept. 11, pilots attending the 38th National Stearman Fly-In wasted no time getting into the air. A formation of five biplanes cruises beneath the clouds near Abingdon, IL. A total of 106 Stearman aircraft came to Galesburg for the week-long 2009 event.
